MyLincoln Touch is standard on 2011 Lincoln models beginning with MKX.  It replaces traditional vehicle buttons, knobs and gauges with two 4.2-inch configurable LCD screens in the instrument panel and an 8- inch LCD touch screen in the center stack, plus 5-way buttons like those found on cell phones and MP3 players. These screens can be personalized to display information relevant to each driver using a simple button click, voice command or touch screen tap.

The touch cells control items such as radio seek, radio station tuning, CD track seek, defrosters and air conditioning. The climate controls allow you to program and set the desired interior temperature. Utilizing the MyTemp button allows the user to store a desired temperature like a radio preset; the temperature can be increased or decreased as you desire. This feature is provided so that temperature can be quickly adjusted to a frequently used setting at the touch of a button. In addition to standard audio and climate control settings, the touch sensitive technology also operates the volume and fan controls through innovative fingertip slider bars. You simply swipe your fingers along the slider bar to adjust the volume or fan speed. This slider incorporates 10 distinct touch points with three full swipes required to bring the system to maximum volume. You also can touch anywhere along the slider to get a corresponding increase or decrease in volume. The fan control is operated in a similar fashion.

Lincoln has incorporated iTunes Tagging in an available factory-installed HD Radio included with the available THX II Sound System. Tagging allows you to “capture” a song you hear on the HD radio receiver for later purchase from iTunes. With a push of a “TAG” button on the radio display, the song information will be stored in the radio’s memory. Once a song is tagged and you dock your iPod to the SYNC system, the tagged song information will transfer to that iPod. When the iPod is then synced to iTunes, a playlist of tagged songs will appear.
